5 Simple Ways to Practice Self-Care
Self Care has never been more important than it is today.
It’s important to show compassion for other people in your life, but how often do we show ourselves that same level of kindness? Beyond bubble baths, here are some ideas.
- Physical - get moving - exercise , eat well, drink lots of water and find your space and take time to relax.
- Emotional - meditate, journal, mindfulness, letting go the past. Move forward in your journey.
- Spiritual - take time to be, light a candle, use your essential oil rollers for peaceful contemplateion, remove negative energy, meditate or just sit in silence for 5 minutes.
- Social - Call up a friend, grab a cuppa, go for a walk and combine 1 and 4 together, play game and laugh. Even with social distancing you can still connect.
- Intellectual - allow time to learn, grow your mind, read about a subject you'd like to know more about, read a book - and be grateful you have taken the time.
One of the most important things that we can do for our minds and bodies is to take a moment to have a break and remember that we are worth love.
Lockdowns give us an opportunity to mindfully slow down, create the space for you in your life and you will sleep better, knowing you've found some time for peace in your mind, body and soul.
Remember, by bringing your best self you are able to share beautiful moments with those around you.
